I come from a humble background – born in a small village in Henan province, China. My memory of childhood was largely embraced by all the food my grandpa cooked at Chinese New Year and families’ birthday celebrations. He would cook 3 tables of dishes, one table for the dads, one table for the mums and one table for the children. After all the hard work, he would pick up his pipe and sit on the door sill for a good smoke while watching the families munning on the feast. He was full of contentment, happiness and peace. That moment defined how I associate food with harmonious and happy family life. He is forever my inspiration.

I live for inspirations. Like fish can’t live without water, I can’t live without inspirations. I am searching for inspirations every day to feed the ever-growing urge of recreation. As much as I am drawn to inspirations from others, I love inspiring people whenever I can. We all are the children of the Divine force. Everyone has their own talent and it’s our purpose of life to find it.  I believe that we can achieve whatever we set for ourselves. But there is that space between ‘our vision and idea of what we want’ and ‘what we get in the end’. That space can be pitch dark and endless.

The purpose of this blog is to be the light and hand we all need to lift us up in that endless and dark space. It’s my battlefield for procrastinations and self-doubt on my journey of finding my true-self. It is the survival manual for mums in the parenting jungle. It’s the recipe library for healthy family eating, romantic eating and fitness goal achieving eating. It is my ‘think out loud’ fitness journal on trumpeting looking amazingly good at the same time looking after our brood and husbands.  It’s my dream-board where all the wild dreams are.

I thought I would never get married; I thought I would never have children. Now I am married and a mother of 3. So I am qualified to be the advocate of “never say never”. But why say never, Let’s de-learn all the limitations put on ourselves by people and be open for whatever future brings.

Let’s inspire! Let’s move! Let’s Live!
